Located in Loudi City, Hunan Province, LY Steel was established and put into operation in 1958. By now it has fomed the annual production capacity of 8 million ton, with total assets of RMB 37.8 billion yuan and employees on duty around 15,900. The sales revenue reached 31.6 billion yuan in 2010.
After half a century of development, LY Steel has become the major sheet production base in Central South of China, boasting the integrated and modern process of coking, sintering, iron making, steelmaking and steel rolling. The CSP line and 2250mm Hot Strip Mill are the most advanced lines worldwide. LY Steel mainly produces hot rolled and cold rolled coils, with the addition of medium and small sized bars. The products are delivered to most of provinces, municipality under direct control of the Central government and autonomous regions in China and exported to Southeast Asia, Canada, Korea, Europe and other nations and regions. “Shuangling” hot-rolled rebar has won National Silver Medal (the highest) for three consecutive times and Gold Cup Prize among national metallurgical products. And the hot rolled thin strip has also been awarded the same Gold Cup Prize. The registered trademark “Shuangling” was conferred with China Well-known Trademark by the State Administration for Industry & Commerce. The company has won Nationwide Advanced Enterprise of Good Quality and High Efficiency, Nationwide May 1st Labor Prize, National Top Corporation in Quality Management, National Model of Worker's Family, National Advanced Unit in the Building of Spiritual Civilization and National Advanced Unit in Steel Industry.
